OUR STORY
My name is Chris Smith and I am the owner of Weeb Enterprises, LLC and the inventor of the Peguin Ice Ladder and the NEW x7ix Victim Recovery System. I have been a Public Safety Diver for 12 years for the McHenry Township Fire Protection District located in McHenry, Illinois. I am also the Assistant Dive Master aiding Chris Mann in our dive team operations.
Over the course of my time as a diver with the team I have been on many dives includung rescues and recoveries, evidence dives and trainings. We dive in an area with many bodies of water. Most of the water we dive in has zero visibility. We have done numerous recoveries as well as trainings in these poor conditions. The one thing I have learned is that the current body bags on the market are very difficult and hard to use in these poor conditions.
Over the last year I started designing and testing numerous versions of the x7ix Victim Recovery System. I had numerous objectives that I needed to meet to make the x7ix a useful and practical tool. My objectives were to create an affordable body bag that would allow one public safety diver to remove a victim alone in zero visibility in less than a minute. While also making it useable in other applications other than just diving.
That is what I have created! THE X7IX VICTIM RECOVERY SYSTEM.
HOW IT WORKS
The diver locates and straddles the body. Then pulls the body bag over the body starting at the head. Once the body bag is pulled over the body the circle is closed and snapped shut. The body can now be removed from the body of water.
The x7ix Victim Recovery System is a very versatile product that can be used for other applications than just underwater body recovery.
While sometimes a body may float to the surface the x7ix Victim Recovery System allows for personnel to place the body in the body bag with minimal contact with the body. Providing an easy and discreet removal.
The x7ix Victim Recovery System can also be used to remove evidence and keep it sealed in the bag without contacting it.
The x7ix Victim Recovery System can also be used for a discreet removal of a hanging victim. Allowing the personnel to discreetly and easily lower the victim to the floor.
WHY?

REDUCES RISK OF INJURIES AND DEATHThe x7ix allows for one public safety diver to enter the water and remove the victim very quickly. One diver can place the victim in the body bag and remove him without little or no help. Although one diver is capable of removing the victim alone a rope can be attached to the x7ix for a more rapid removal while eliminating the chance of the victim being lost.
